It's no surprise that in America, money talks. I'm not referring to big businesses wheeling and dealing for a better profit margin, or politicians making shady back alley arrangements to line the own pockets. Sure, that stuff happens and it sucks that these groups don't have the Greater Good in mind; but is it their fault? I'm talking about you, me, and the guy next door. We buy the sale items. We clip coupons. We turn the light off when we leave the room. Anything to save a buck.

Middle East Breaking Addiction to Own Oil

In the Middle East, The Bahrain World Trade Center is the first building in the world to be powered by wind. I can read the writing on the wall, why can't the United States:

"We won't eat our own dog food! We know our oil will eventually run out and we don't want to be left holding the bag. Oh, and it'll be just great to milk the US for as much CASH as we can."

Is no one interested in current events because we are too desensitized? Are we overwhelmed with a barrage of information? Is the state of current affairs so depressing that we just want to sit back, "vege out' and hope that when we wake up someone will have gotten us out of this mess? The price of oil has skyrocketed in the last decade and shows no sign of stopping. The cost of fuel has become a deciding factor in my lifestyle. What car do I buy that has the best fuel efficiency? What do I buy online versus going to a retail store for? As our friends and family are so scattered across multiple states, how often can we afford to make a day trip and visit? Let's look at some of the awful truths of oil.
